How can Horticultural
Therapy Help Me, and How Much will it cost?
Whether your goal is to
increase range of motion or hand-eye coordination, improve mood or
participation, or
increase socialization or cooperation, Horticultural Therapy can help
your clients and loved ones.
Horticultural Therapy addresses vocational goals, too. If you want
to find employment for clients, and need work
experience with them, we can help set them up with a program to teach
valuable work skills.
Programs can be seasonal or
year-round, weekly or monthly. The time frame is usually about 1
hour per session
(except for the vocational). You choose whatever fits with your
goals.
Cost is based on session
frequency, duration, and materials needed. Grant money may be
available for Horticultural
Therapy programs for many not-for-profit organizations.
Horticultural Therapy is an
inexpensive treatment modality. It uses living plants to improve a
person's physical,
mental, and spiritual well-being in a non-threatening environment.
Horticultural Therapy has
helped millions of people worldwide since the 1800s

Gardening has become one of
America's favorite past times, but Horticultural Therapy is NOT just

of accomplishing a treatment goal with people who will benefit from
working with plants.
